  3. How does one get low tier runes though? Particularly the ones that require chipped gems for the upgrade (>Amn). I don't even have chipped gems anymore.

  4. 0 Ist in 1k runs? Is this not 1.13b or c? I was pretty sure Ist is far less than 1:1000 chance on those patches.

    I know you're on Plugy, but don't you use 1.13?

  6. I spent thousands of hours trading nonstop. I was obsessed with deals and gaining value in D2:LOD on Bnet. It wasn't ever worth it for pre-d2jsp traders to cube up lem/pul/um because the lem-um range of runes is where all the best profit can be, and is made… It's right in the strike zone where the value isn't high enough that people want to split hairs over the cost but isn't low enough that stacking them up doesn't accumulate significant value. It was very easy to buy something worth a Pul with your own Lem and sell it for Um, I would repeat that process dozens of times a day and only cube up to the minimum of what the other trader considered an HR when it was time to trade one HR for another.

  7. Just stared playing Diablo 2 after being a casual 10ish years ago. Is D2 is all about that? Doing same things hundreds or thousands of times? To get some runes?

  8. I personally cube all the way to Ohm or Lo… and I've even made Ber's from Los. Is it worth it? If you don't need Ist and you need the higher ones yes. A lot of items you can easily trade straight for an Ist, I rush my mules so they can join hell trading games and I also do their hell forges since I get them there. I've been tipped by other players while rushing and I just end up with a ton of Ist / Gul. Cubing Ist to Lo isn't that bad if you have a full stash of Pul — Gul. Ideally Mal+, but I keep lem+.

    Then again… I'm one of those rich bots. I'm making a Last Wish for my merc… cubing 2 bers to get the last Jah unless I find a Jah before I find a base.

    So in the end it comes down to what you need and what you have. Do you need an Ist to trade for some gear? Do you need an Ist to socket your MF gear? Then keep em and cube lower ones to reach it… if you don't need any MF gear, and you don't need to trade it for other gear…. keep on cubing them! I like to keep at least 1 of each mid rune for making a runewords like CTA or Hoto for new builds, but If I need a Lo for a merc fort… I'll cube everything.

    I was thinking about making a video 100-500 hell forge drops. Including drops I got from the rushes. I've found an SOJ off normal Baal minions, multiple Mal & Ist, plus the actual hell forge drops and tips from other players. I made out halfway decent. Hate the bots and call us lazy, but the bot still needed gear to work.

  19. You can dupe runes (and anything else) so easily in single player that you can cube up to Zod in Act 2 Normal as soon as you have the cube. You just need one of each kind of chipped gem and one El rune. Make a back-up of the save file of the character who has the gems & runes, xfer them to another character, then restore the first character's save file, and xfer the gems & runes back. Cube as necessary to stop your stash from getting too full.

  24. I was doing lower kurast to get high runes to make Enigma (up to Ber) it was becoming to exhausting and found two Gul runes and wanted to cube them to get Vex (I didn't have Ruby to do so). Kept doing LK to get Ruby, but nothing so went Cows. In the first or second Cow run didn't find Ruby but got a Jah rune.

  27. Someone knows how to have so many space? Is a cheat? I would like to collect all the green/unique item i find, but without this is impossible

  29. The only way this is worth it, is by playing plugy solo. You'll never have the stash space to do this online and this is why d2 failed in this aspect of the game.

  30. I've recently started doing lower trav runs with a crappy javazon in single player. I don't have an enigma (that's the reason i do lower trav in the first place). My first 100 runs returned a pul rune. I expect to have the ber and jah required for the enigma by cubing stuff up in 4623 years. I'll post an update when i'm done

  31. I have 3 Ist, an Ohm and a Lo rune, but no Mal rune and no Vex rune. Both I would really need for Heart of the Oak and Call to Arms. Damn, Diablo luck can be so crazy. You can get a hand full of the really rare stuff, but you can struggle to find more common stuff, that would really help you though.

  32. Cubing up to Um or dropped Mal to Ist and maybe cubing dropped Guls to Vex. Um and Ist are too useful even beyond their runewords to cube imo

  33. Ber and Jah are only hr
    Cham and zod are hrs too but a zod is worth 4 ists so it's worth is the same of a midrune
