I only have the infernal machine and it has no suffix (console version) , do I have to kill the key warden(s) again?

You actually don't have to complete the campaign. I'm on my first run and just got one on PC.
For a seasonal character do we have to finish the campaign ?
If you die in the uber area do you not respawning in it or do you get kicked out
