Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Beta: Witch Doctor Hardcore Adventure Mode #1



In episode 1 of my Diablo 3 RoS beta Hardcore Adventure Mode with the Witch Doctor we grab some Act 3 Bounties starting on Hard difficulty from level 1. We also have to take on Azmodan as one of our bounties so things could get interesting!

Series Info:
Welcome to my new series of gameplay commentaries for the Reaper of Souls beta where I level a character in Hardcore exclusively in the new Adventure mode! That means bounty hunting and rifts from level 1 to (hopefully) level 70! Hopefully this series will give you guys a good insight into what it will be like playing the new Diablo 3 expansion pack when it launches. We should get to see all the new gameplay modes, mobs, mechanics, crafting and character changes!

In this second run I play the Witch Doctor class as it was the second most requested class for me to play in Hardcore. WD is an amazing class for Hardcore so hopefully we’ll see me reach a pretty high level! As per usual I’ll be trying to show off as many skills and possible builds as possible while we level.

  6. ZiggyD, when you purchased items from that vendor and only got strength rolls, I think the other 3 vendors may sell items with different stat rolls. I could be wrong, but its worth checking out. Great vid, and witch doc is my favorite class. Too bad the wizard got wiped, but im glad you chose WD. keep it up.

  8. Sorry this one wasnt in 1080p! I kind of just forgot since my default rendering is setup for 720p. I'll try and do the rest of this series in 1080!

  9. Is it just me or doesn't it seem about wierd to add auto pickup on potions but not the crafting mats? They really should fix that

  11. This is probably my preference but I would put grasp of the dead in place of horrify.

  12. Btw. Funny how d3 with 700 ping plays like path of exile does with 60. Random teleporting mobs ftw

  13. Hey, I normally don't comment but I noticed you actually take the time to answer your comments which is awesome. Is there a limit to the amount if zombie dogs you can have because I'll definitely start playing if you can actually make a "summon" build that's not just blowing them up

  15. I dont like the new patch to reaper of souls, feels really unrewarding and the quality of loot of stuff like horadric loot bags, those cursed chests just really suck. They should at least give really good loot for low levels.

  16. I think you could bump up the difficulty for next time with that big weapon upgrade, maybe just start off a bit conservative and see how it goes. Also, thanks for giving me something to watch while I drink my growler of IPA!

  17. I would really like to play D3 again with the new end game mechanics and content. Looks like it can be quite fun. Sucks that it should have been in the vanilla version.

  19. I play the 2.0.1 PTR and one of my clan mates found an amulet called: Splinter Cell:D That was cool:D

  21. Yeah splinters went in a straight line before.  It looks like it goes to random enemies in a sort of lock on fashion.

  23. Do the zombie dogs do any more damage than in plain D3? I remember reading something about them upping the damage.

  25. I think you can do expert — but you should probably switch out corpse spiders for something more powerful.  They weren't doing too much damage

  28. Ziggy, you can get all 5 just from the passive and you can use a different skill in that lot.

  29. hi Ziggy, perhaps you should try more vendors for rings and amulets — they usually have some good stuff.

  30. I really like that you can start with Adventure Mode right away. Makes building a new character a little more unique and fun. Cheers.

  32. Thanks for the new series! Exciting first episode, you almost died doing Fields of Slaughter bounty! Anyways, act 3 there are 3 VENDORS on the right and the main weapons vendor on the LEFT. Check them all next time.

    Yeah, because of the weapon upgrade next difficulty seems to be worth a try =)

  36. as long as you got BS unlocked on one character you can salvage everything on all other characters so pick everything up : )

  40. You get alot better and alot more gear, when playing in Adventure mode, compared to normal, right? People have like full rare gear at level 10….
