More and more info is being released on the Diablo 3 expansion pack Reaper of Souls and in this video I give you guys a summary of what we know about the Crusader so far. I’m personally very excited for this class as I’ve wanted something that would use shields in an interesting way for a long time now — shields are cool!
SUMMARY of the CRUSADER:
Stength based Class
Uses Flails, 2H Flails, Crusader Shields and Swords (can even wield a 2H sword in one hand with a shield in the other!).
Mid to close range combat depending on how you spec.
Lots of shield synergy for both offense and defense.
Divine holy light style attacks and skills, based on the Paladin of Diablo 2 (in terms of lore the Crusaders are elite Paladins).
Yes, you will get to make them into a D2-style Hammerdin 😉

a taunt effect can also help greatly with getting bonus xp from mass kills
as long as i can get my hands on a 2h mace i will be happy, and i will be trying to make my zeal/fanaticism paladin from d2

Long Arm Of The Law is a passive skill for Paladins in WoW and increases movement speed after using Judgement (a ranged attack) on an enemy. Might be related? Either way, awesome vid 😀 has all the info I wanted!

I'm so happy that they are focusing on the shield, in any game I ever play I always lean more towards a "Tank". However like you said, a sword and shield is not just for defense, a shield is a weapon within itself. You can deal so much damage with a shield. I loved how in Dragon Age Orgins, they allowed you to use it as such. I am honestly looking forward to seeing the attacks they could add in, or if they don't do attack, just make it an essential part of playing this class! -Aercron

I'm not 100% on whether it's limited to swords or no but theoretically yes! That said, there will be better weapons than Skorn in the expo.

Sure, but that put aside the 200 %CD from skorn and socket in it will be go over the 250% cap in a single item…. So I guess that We will be focused more to main stats ( since they are not capped ) . I wonder will EFs IAS stat go in synergy with IAS cap .. that would be great ..

A few different sources: datamined info from the Test Realm, Blizzard Announcements, Official Forum posts, screenshots from press and other things Blizzard reps say. Hopefully I'll also start getting some more info direct from Blizz myself in the lead up to RoS!

Well since the Paladin Order was decimated because of the Lord of Hatred, true name Mephisto, corrupted the Leaders of Zakarum who were the paladins, from what skills they have, the Crusaders were once Paladins, so now they hunt down Evil at every turn obviously because of what happened to the Order they were once a part of.
