In this video I show you guys how to farm for the materials to craft the Legendary Reaper’s Wraps in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. These legendary bracers are pretty powerful as they restore up to 30% of your primary resource whenever you get a health globe (imagine that on your Witch Doctor especially!).
PLAN
Guaranteed drop on first Malthael kill if:
— Level 61 or higher
— Any difficulty
— in the campaign
If you don’t get it try resetting the quests and running the game again.
Material (Reaper’s Fear)
— Drops from Malth
— Any difficulty
— 61 or over
— Quick farming method no longer works, you must run the prior zone each time.
Ascended Bracers
— Battlefields of Eternity 12 Whites 5 mins
— Just run for the Armor piles in the Battlefields and in the mini dungeons.

i have farmed over 2 hour now at torment 1 kill him in about 1min but i have not found a single legendary mats or legendary -.-
Where did you get reaper's fear ?

This seems to have been fixed now; at least when I tried it, getting to town and leaving the game didn't really help. When I resumed the game started be exactly where I left off; after Malthael was dead.
Ohh well, I trust the fix to the drop rate is coming soon so we can farm it properly.
Hi Zigg, First thanks for the guides have been very helpful for my demon hunter, now wanted to ask I have got the plan for the Reapers Wraps, so I started farming for the Reaper's Fear, I have killed Malth now 180 times an counting, no drops any recommendations on what to do? I actully enjoy the farming in this game now an the challenge is now great when you want it to be but I am getting tired of farming malth with no reward other then 2 legendary items. Any suggestions?
does the reaper's tear drop only from Malthael? and if so will T+ lvls help with the drop rate that is if it has been fixed

was doing normal runs last night and logging out before the death animation and everything seemed to be going fine (except for no fear :). Tried it today and noticed that he only drops loot after his death animation, so it must have been hotfixed. No clue on if the drop rate has changed.

Thx for your video. I got 1 questin though — dod you know if malthael can drop the material if not for the quest drop atm? I read the drop rate is supposed to be bugged, but after 150 runs fining not even 1 I started wondering…

Hey Ziggy! I did the Malthael kill in campaign, im already lvl 70 with 60 paragon levels, i put normal difficult. I did it 2 times already and it didn't drop the PLAN where you said it was a guaranteed drop! Is it the patch or what? 🙁 (im Kaiel from yesterday's stream idk if you remember, the guy that didn't know english xD)

Hey ziggy, im trying to get this recipe. i beat this game at level 58 or 59 so. does that mean if i want to get the recipe i have to replay the whole game? 🙁
He now only drops loot after he has finished his death animation, no more easy farming. But I find you can follow the right hand side around the fortress and find him pretty easily.
For ascended items go to Act 5, mission 5: Siege Runes. Go to the travel pad thing. Find and go to Abandoned siege camp. No enemies, armor and weapon racks everywhere.
Nerfed, he drops loot at the end of death animation. So you can't avoid the checkpoint.

I have just played all of act 5 in campaign lvl 70 normal mode, but when i killed mart he didnt drop the plan, and I didnt get then plan the first time i played through the hole campaign (i was lvl 53 the first time i killed him in campaign).
Do i have to play ALL of campaign act 1-5 for him to drop the plan?

I got lucky and he dropped both on the first kill.
@ZiggyD Gaming I ran the whole campaign through, and he didn't drop the plans or the mats. Will I have to run through the whole campaign again to get the plans?
Or you can still use the passive and health globes give ALL the hatred back >:D
