    Elixirs add one point to the appropriate attribute when they are consumed, until your character reaches the maximum value for that attribute.

    Elixirs of Strength, Dexterity, and Magic (but never Vitality) can be purchased from Pepin and Adria, but their availability varies by Clvl and game type. Elixirs of all types cost 5000 gold, and sell for 1250 gold to Adria.

    Pepin the Healer sells elixirs, but only in single player games. They appear on his items menu once a character ventures down to hell (dungeon level 13) or enters the Hive or Crypt. Pepin will not offer elixirs of a stat that you've already maxed out.
    Adria the Witch sells elixirs in single and multiplayer, but they appear on her items list randomly and infrequently. She only offers elixirs to players who have reached level 26 in multiplayer, or who have entered hell, the Hive, or the Crypt (in that game) in singleplayer.

    All types of elixirs can be dropped by monsters and chests, in the lower levels of the dungeons.

    In Hellfire (but not Diablo), Magic elixirs completely refill your mana and Vitality elixirs completely refill your life. Dexterity and Strength elixirs provide no bonus other than to the stat they boost.

Yea the atmosphere is the best , it is the most grim and creepy ofc fit perfectly with the setting , story ? debatable it depends if you really like greek tragedy style i guess , with darker endings etc , 2 with its expansion and all had more to it but i enjoyed them equally to be honest , the real ghotic horror in 3 is in its expansion . D1 is great but over all D2 is my favorite , thats the game i played the most bc it is objectively a big improvement and evolution from the first and it was my first Diablo game i guess , i started with 2 , even now i remember the fun co-op days of fighting over gold and loot and random pvp duels. Love Tristram music one of the most memorable and best vg music ever for me, dam hearing it again made me hum it too and made me a little hyped for D4 , they have to deliver big time and one way is to bring back the proper atmosphere and music , sad what happened to the town and its folks after d1 events , maybe New Tristram can return in d4 and have a look and atmosphere/music even more like here .

    A simpler time when you didn't have to lock your door, and you knew who your neighbours were. Not to mention dumping all your fucking gold and possessions in the town square, expecting every single cent accounted for when you got back from your 2 week trip to Rome.

  9. Awesome game. Great atmosphere and enemies. I remember my momma found it in the closet of a house we had just moved into and making it all the way to the bottom to kill the big devil, only to be rewarded with like the only cutscene in the game… And thick succubuses…

  11. Damn straight it's 'packed with atmosphere.' Amazing how they did so much with so little. Though I imagine the incredible soundtrack had something to do with that. Love this game something fierce.

  14. Woulda liked him to shake it up with other weapons. Sword and shield for hours? Coulda one shotted bosses with the Butchers cleaver for a bit. Dullsville

  15. I honestly miss playing this I had it on the computer then I'm going to PlayStation but I think on the computer was much more better

  22. I miss being able to play diablo 1 multiplayer. I used to use Raymond's editor and was god in the game. Had merciless bow of burning.

  25. Love this type of game. You descend down a deep dark dungeon with nothing at all. You start with nothing, picking up weapons and breaking weapons and replacing everything to get stronger.

  26. Was enjoyable until you announced you were getting your second bottle of wine, then unbearable when you got drunk. You have potential if you didn't let liquid control you.

  27. Wait… 2-6 weapon damage averages as 8 and 1-8 averages as 9? Are you just adding the high and low range instead of coming up with the average damage or am I missing something?

  28. Good Lets play. Me myself play alot of Diablo 1 and 2. The swearing at the end like level 13 and onwards got very annoying. Maybe you got drunk.

  30. I HIGHLY recommend trying the Diablo 1 mod "Belzebub" if you haven't! It stays true to the original game while adding TONS of features like 60fps BUTTERSMOOTH gameplay, improved trading windows (like in diablo 2), crafting system, waypoints, and MUCH more. They also added alot of scrapped quests that were planned for the original game with the original voice actors! Diablo 1 is my all time favorite game and this mod has updated it removing almost every single thing that has aged "badly", best ARPG experience you can possibly get in my opinion!

  31. haha I found this game makes that left click button constantly mashed and having a quick journey to RSI. I remember playing a D1 mod that allowed the left button to be held down instead of repeatly clicking
