Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.
BATTLE OUT OF HELL
As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.
UNLEASH THE FURY OF OLYMPUS
The Olympians have your back! Meet Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and many more, and choose from their dozens of powerful Boons that enhance your abilities. There are thousands of viable character builds to discover as you go.
BEFRIEND GODS, GHOSTS, AND MONSTERS
A fully-voiced cast of colorful, larger-than-life characters is waiting to meet you! Grow your relationships with them, and experience hundreds of unique story events as you learn about what’s really at stake for this big, dysfunctional family.
BUILT FOR REPLAYABILITY
New surprises await each time you delve into the ever-shifting Underworld, whose guardian bosses will remember you. Use the powerful Mirror of Night to grow permanently stronger, and give yourself a leg up the next time you run away from home.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
Permanent upgrades mean you don’t have to be a god yourself to experience the exciting combat and gripping story. Though, if you happen to be one, crank up the challenge and get ready for some white-knuckle action that will put your well-practiced skills to the test.
SIGNATURE SUPERGIANT STYLE
The rich, atmospheric presentation and unique melding of gameplay and narrative that’s been core to Supergiant’s games is here in full force: spectacular hand-painted Underworld environments and a blood-pumping original score bring the Underworld to life.

In my humble opinion, one should not hard-compare 2 games unless they are like 90% similar to each other. I mean, Slay the Spyre and Hades are 2 different kind of Roguelike, if one shall compare Slay the Spyre it could be with something similar like the one with the slime that u played, And Hades to a roguelike- diablo-like game.
Still the best thing to do is just enjoy games as they individually are and just looking for how could improve.
I played this game so much that my wrist hurts even after not playing it all day
I wonder if tisiphone can't see and just goes off smell or something and recognizes a scent from hades. Another piece of fiction involves greek characters and basically has one character hate another because they smell like the person that killed them.
Kronos is the enemy of the gods and their children. There's no way he'd help Zagreus. I think Prometheus is a more likely as he's both crafty and neutral. He's the Titan of Forethought. He's describes as "Humanity's Curiosity" which explains how the narrator spilled the beans of Zagreus's mother.
7:21 sad god of fitness noises
That chase scene with the Minotaur… LMAO
Hmmm, perhaps if you beat the… hydra was it the last boss in your save before it was on steam? it might have counted as a completion then, I don't know
honestly wander i love your stuff but sometime i have to stop watching a vid mid way though and save the rest later because of some of the silly mistakes you make in games like slay the spire, dicey dungeon etc. are actually infuriating to watch. but never care to bother you with it cause 1) playing is easy but playing and commentating splits your focus so not 100% of your attention is on the game 2)your thin skinned and don't read YouTube comments cause their "mean" 2.5)i'm pretty sure Chel reads these cuz you don't read them, and its not fair for her to deal with these comments/criticisms 3) you can come up with these brilliantly creative and fun strategy when you play but then you get stumped by something small or silly with in the same vid.
even though all that it is still fun to watch you, and as long as your have fun that's what matters
Last weapon should be a pillar like Prometheus was chained to that you use like a hammer
The ultimate final boss: the P E E L
Truly, there is no escape.
37:30 you did get a basic attack damage boon. In Tartarus. 50% basic attack from Aphrodite. You picked the special attack bonus instead and NEVER used it. This was after you got the Dedalus Hammer Upgrade where your main attack is busted.
5:10 yeah no kidding, being birth by coming out of Zeus's skull while having armor and weapon is a strange way to be born
I love me some Jojo references
Atm you can get at most 2 hammers, one from Tartarus and another from Elysium. Before welcome to the hell update you can buy a 3rd one in Temple of Styx, but not anymore. The wiki says you can get hammer from Asphodel if you didn’t get one from Tartarus but that never happened to me -_-
Edit: nvmd, Just got a hammer in Asphodel after not getting one in Tartarus
The narrator is Daedalus, that is why he is not with his hammer. LOL
Finally, I beat hades today 😀
narrator is minos becausee he's super judgey and minos was the judge of the dead
What if the narrator is Tireseus? The wise man and counsellor of the gods? He’s EVERYWHERE in greek mythology, travels through the realms of the living and dead often, and is super knowledgable. He’s always portrayed as an “old man”. Maybe he’s to Zagreus as Virgil was to Dante in this sense?
Yeah excercise can kick your ass in the beginning, I started mma training 7 months ago and it has been beating me up
I'm surprised they aren't playing up the Dionysus Zagreas connection. Historically the pre-Greek dark age Pantheon had those two mooshed together, and there was a lot more emphasis placed on 'Cthonic' gods. Poseidon was the King then, not Zeus.
After a while, that overbearing criticism wears you down. But I say you still do a great job.
