To me, Arcadia was Duran Duran, just a different version of it. Like looking at colors through a prism constantly change with the slightest move.
Love this song, but it absolutely kills me when songs get edited for release as a single.

Maybe , more underated album from 80's. Gilmur, Sting, Sakamoto, Grace Jones like guests on this record show us how much DD was huge. They in that time was kids in middle twentiest but look who's playing on the record . Words are not enough. Listen the sound of record ,production ,playing and singing, lyrics and atmosphere . Today 35 years later this songs still rules. Today's shit you forget for day.
Salute to the DD. I'm now 50 years old and I am so glad that I've been growing up in that beautifull time.
The whole album so red the rose is pure artistic genius. The side project gave simon an opportunity to showcase his voice and songwriting ability. The promise is such a great song with the additon of sting in the background.

I never tire of listening to So Red The Rose,know that I never will,either. The Promise and the other singles-the LP as a whole,basically-has been described as “A Masterpiece “ in many comments people have written here. Well described,it is Exactly so.
A most moody and atmospheric track with a hint of a medevil quality to it. One of my faves from one of best (and underrated) albums from the 80s.
