While Mick should be meeting deadlines he agreed to, we've seen time and time again management teams of game devs and game publishers can't seem to get scheduling down for their games in general without delays or crunch. I for one would like to hear why Mick needed to take so long, as to even get a 6 week extension, and still not be able to meet an agreed deadline. Depending on Mick's reason it might have been better to delay the release of the Sound Track and let it be done when its done then release what online audiophiles have been calling garbage for the ears, seeing as the music of Doom is just as important to the game as the game play itself.

19. With Vicarious Visions announcing the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 remaster today, which is an Activision game, seems to only reinforce the ATVI and VV partnership that D2 remaster would seem probable

21. Doom Soundtrack : I Call bullshit by ID. Composers of Tracks have ALWAYS the Right to pull the entire Copyrights from any given contractor. They are the MAKERS, the originators. Copyright always only means, they have the RIGHT to copy.

    BUT: Only for certain use. IF the composer gives them Music for using INGAME, they have NO RIGHT to mix themselves to release them as a soundtrack. Period.

28. Oh, Warcraft 3 Reforged wasn't just a remaster; it was also a very unwanted (and complete) replacement.

29. If I had to guess.. I would think that Bliz would remake Diablo 2 using the D3 engine, meaning it would be fully 3D. That way, they could easily port it to consoles as well and D3 sold very well there on last gen and current gen, including the switch. It could explain the long delay. In the end though, I don't care how it's done, so long as it's done!

34. Considering what they did to Warcraft 3… I am very conscerned about Diablo II and would rather — despite having wanted a remaster for the past decade+ — they just did not touch it at all now.

35. VV have apparently been working on a THPS 1/2 remaster that was revealed today. That at least kills the part about this rumour involving them, and potentially the whole thing.

41. Everyone can do Diablo remakes, except Blizzard. GG. Also they can get all the assets out of the original game files, just not the base workfiles for pre-rendered assets. Which are the assets that need remaking anyway so you dont need the originals. Just remake them. That is the point.

43. The War3 reforged cinematics didn't bother me that much. I still enjoyed playing the old game with much better looking graphics. I played it for a few weeks, almost beating the first game's story but got distracted by other games. The only thing that really bothered me was the connection issues. It made playing with friends at the time annoying. Hopefully they've fixed those in the mean time but I haven't looked.

    Now if D2 got remastered I can see myself playing that for months on end. It was my favorite Diablo game by far. I had a set of characters to play with each friend and each combination of friends playing together.
