  1. Diablo 3 monsters look like happy fairy tale critters
Diablo 2 monsters not so creepy but more than the ones of d3
Diablo monsters scare the shit of anyone in a breeze

  2. Diablo 1 was authentic terror, diablo 2 was a nice try (not bad), diablo 3 was runescape

  3. I was 8 or 9 years old when I played this game. Everytime I entered the church, I would be so terrified of the darkness, the music, the sudden appearence of the skeletons… man…. killing those skeletons felt like intense boss battles every time.

  4. Truly master pieces of score. I love the atmosphere in this songs along with the ones in starcraft 1.
I have the notion that today's videogame music has lean more towards to the use of orchestra, hd strong sounds (percussion, solo cellos or voice, etc), and compositions that have memorable melodies and good cinematographic arrangements, making them sound great… but
Im sad I dont get to know more songs like in the diablo and starcraft 1 game; they were so much rich in the use of strange, wicked sounds, high pitch synths "yelling", and wind blowing in background.
I dont know what blizzard had, I may be wrong, but I believe this songs werent even composed by the same author as of sc1 xD

Maybe back in the 90s, without the capability of full orchestra, but with the new capabilities of electronical music, the music developers team of this videogames were trying to do the most of what they had, and maybe thats how we got this wonderful songs ❀

  5. Guys…it's simple:
    Diablo 1 — best atmosphere
    Diablo 2 — best gameplay
Diablo 3 — best looting system

  6. This song still creeps the shit out of me when I have my surround sound on

  7. Everyone complains that d1 and 2 are better than d3, but I would have to say that from a gameplay, progression and end game standpoint d3 is way better. The best things the older games did over it was atmosphere, as evident by just this track alone, the atmosphere of the older games was way better. Everything from the music to the graphics and art style to the sound design, and it was lots of little things that built the atmosphere the game has. However I still find myself investing fucktons of hours in d3 because of its great end game.

  8. This soundtrack remainds me of the first season of Berserk. I don't know why, but is a good feeling

  9. Creepy as fuck. And I love it. Diablo and the rest of the series are my all time favorite video games ever.

  10. God I still love this game even today. The second you step into the dungeons for the first time and this music plays, you feel a weight of atomosphere that Diablo 3 just doesn't capture, despite being enjoyable in its own right.

  11. Before, small plot, few dialogues — just a well fleshed gothic horror fantasy game, now… killing a blacksmith's wife turning into a zombie and 1 min after tells you where is "his slacker of apprentice" right after killing his own wife.. it was the final nail in the coffin for blizzard story tellers, this music reminds me when background mattered more than ever.

  12. Boom tschktschk Boom tschktschk I just imagined playing Diablo and having a shotgun as my first weapon… Things aren't THIS scary then…

  13. Yup, this is by far the most creepiest piece of music I've heard in my life. Pretty cool cause it's also catchy

  14. This soundtrack is later remixed in Diablo II called Spider — can be heard in the dungeon levels in early act 3.
