  2. for me it's a shame that Diablo1 Remaster isn't still up. i don't know which copyrights from Brevik/Schaefer team is blocking it, but it still needs some tweaks. yes, i know, it's on GOG, but without resolution tweaks they can't fix bugs from 1.09. that's pain. i know, there's BrightLord's HD mod named Belzebub, but… dayum… fix some bugs, add just a shared stash (i know there's Ulmo's mod for it) and it should be done as a 1.10. no one needs more from d1 remaster… maybe some detailed graphics. more detailed than in GOG version but those things should be in a remaster, that imo should be before d2. that abomination that you're spoke of in d3. that was just a disaster. maps built without any sense what was d1 about, from some random tiles, and drops of grey items with names of cheated items. it was not worth mention it in this vid…

    EDIT: and about that many people play modded version of the game. yes, they aware of it. that's why they kicked in with 1.14 and it's the only version you can download from blizz site. that's sad, how they don't respecting community for creativty. but propably it's something that they've learn on DotA :/

  5. It’s not going to be the game developers that did right with starcraft, this will be the same disaster as warcraft reforged and probably just made with mobile gaming in mind.

  8. i think most ahve seen the unreal engine diablo 2 demo. unreal engine 5 just came out . it would be great if they used that!!! at least they arent using creation engine:P

  11. Hope it's good, fingers crossed, such a great game from my childhood. I hope also D4 does the diablo series justice, and I wish more ppl would ask for more D1 atmosphere, D1 captures the essence of the title more so than even D2, not a single moment in D1 you felt safe.

  13. I'd prefer they completely reworked several skills and maps if it shall be anything better than just new graphics. Diablo 2 online experience since years is dominated by bots who do baalruns and the economy is dictated by the gear those bots and farming characters are using. Everyone is using a sorc for MFing. They would have to get rid of enigma, or teleport in general, and make other characters much more viable for farming to really shake things ups.

  14. As long as it shares servers with the original, like they did with Starcraft remastered, then it should be ok.

    If not, they're going to split the fanbase between those who want to fork out a money for better graphics and those who are happy with the game as is. This makes it less likely that we'll be able to fill games at the start of each new ladder.

  15. To me it seems a bit rushed. It sounded like they took the IP, gave it to a different studio and set them a deadline…. This may lower the quality of the game and I doubt it will get supportet after release. It is just for some marketing and maybe have something for the diablo franchise.

    Still I think the game will be ok and the better resolution will be a nice thing for many players. It is just not for me, because I would have liked some changes to the game

I can't remember the company off the top of my head but apparently the company blizzard use to remaster some of their other games has not been doing anything public for like 4-6 years… So the good news is, it won't be the blizzard classic team working on it like with wc3 reforged, it will be outsourced and has been in production for at least 4 years now. I believe I also heard somewhere it will mostly be the exact same game just modernized for modern hardware etc and possibly a toggle for improved graphics like wc3 reforged.
    Fingers crossed they don't screw this one up.

  18. Would be cool if we could break cold immune, or change immune system each season so we can see other builds

  20. Diablo 2 was not made by Blizzard. It was made by another studio which had the Blizzard tag slapped on it.

  23. I just want higher resolution, higher refresh rates and some QoLs (e.g. auto gold picking). Nothing new — save your ideas for D4!!

  24. Hey Llama do you think there are any attractive girls that play/played Diablo 2? Play meaning spending at least 500+ hours on the game and are serious about it. Attractive meaning someone that isn't from the Secret Cow Level.

    Blizzard will almost certainly F this game up. MTX high runes coming in, game breaking runewords will be everywhere. They'll probably want to add in more difficulty levels, Hell 2, Hell 3 etc to accommodate their obsession with making skills do 40,000% more damage. I'm really not interested in a D2 RM.
