1. Their statement about possible miscommunication or confusion on the reforged title leading to people getting the wrong idea is complete BS. It wasn't the title, it was them flat-out saying they were going to do things and put features in that never actually got put in the game.

2. Blizzard is a shit company and everything they make is objectively bad. No, it wont be another WC3 refunded, it will be worse. I am taking bets on this.

8. My dream is Diablo 2 ported to consoles with local co-op. I’d love to play it with my wife, like we did with Diablo 3 (until we hit the expansion and she got bored). I’ve raved so many times about how much better 2 was than 3 but she’s no pc gamer

11. Since it is 2d it cant be as mismanaged as warcraft 3. I would love higher definitions on the current art. I would hate modern battle net. offline mode is very important

16. WC3 Remaster was just a bad game. Put aside all the lying, it just wasnt a good game.

    Problem is D2 aged poorly, far worse then SC1. So while it nice to say for them not to mess with it, I honestly dont think game would do all that well if it was just a rerelease.

18. Personally I don't care that much since I'm not interested in remasters, I'm not one to go and buy an old game with slightly better resolution… also I'm more excited about Diablo 4.

20. So much of D2 is important to the lore of D3, so I think, minimum, you have to make it console-friendly. I agree they can easily just tweak everything to look nicer on modern computers, make it Battle.net friendly, and you're good to go. Stage 2 has to be getting the game playable on consoles. that will take longer, and so you can get the PC upgrade ready quick, and then also be working on making it console friendly.

    Overall I agree — you don't need to do much to it, though I WOULD like to see D2 with D3 graphics.

21. At this point, it really doesn't matter. Even if Blizzard released Red Dead Redemption 2-like quality game, the fan base is so deep in the salt, they will never appreciate anything.

22. You can already play Diablo 2 on modern systems. The other improvements you described were the same ones Warcraft III recieved a few years ago before Reforged was announced. I highly doubt they would try to sell a patch as a remaster in Diablo 2 but not WC3.

25. Starcraft Remaster was essentially the same game just done in modern updated graphics. For Reforged, they were planning to implement key changes in story, cinematics, along with a complete overhaul to the graphics and game systems. For Diablo 2 Resurrected, it seems that they are going back to the StarCraft model, so this should be essentially the same game just re-done in modern updated graphics. However, that would mean, the Druid would get shiny new pauldrons, and that's OK. I would love to see D2 in modern graphics. Where Reforged failed, is the over-promised and under-delivered. However, what they promised would have been an incredible game; they just didn't have enough time to create that version of WC3.

26. I'd be interested in a faithful Diablo 2 remaster with pretty graphics. But then I thought the same of StarCraft 1, and in the end I feel like the value isn't worth the price they're demanding for it. Not when I already own the game, and especially not with the same cinematics.
    And then there was the WC3R disaster, which made me lose faith in them even more. And the last few expansions of WoW. And "do you guys not have phones?" And Overwatch. So now I have about -100 faith in Blizzard. Just watch: their next announcement is a battle royale.

You clearly haven't been paying attention. They haven't made anything like Diablo 2 since… well. Diablo 2. Thats 20 years ago, and not even the same company.

33. If you want the remaster to do well you must, change nothing but the graphics. Pvp must stay the same or the majority of d2 players won't play it.

36. Say what you will about the real money auctions house had it been allowed to evolve it might have been better than whatever the hell you call the d3 loot system that took its place. The game doesn't have an economy. that was the solution. I play both games but at least d2 has an item economy because drops mean anything. Blizzard makes bad choices but also the community is the worst. No faith in anyone.

37. if they not gonna change the art from 2d to 3d and if they not gonna touch the gameplay, we could have something like SC remastered, "the same game with better art" .

42. Having another remaster in the work is all fine, but I wish they would focus on fixing reforged first. Multi-player is still in shambles for warcraft 3, with only minor fixes since reforged release.

44. I bet they are going to tone down all the dark and gritty and satanic and just fucked up visuals of Diablo 2, it'll be a cartoony hilarious star-craft-like-art-style like D3. Xenomorph Diablo in diablo 2 incoming.
    I hope that they just get the ORIGINAL 3D MODELS of the characters, because they were all rendered from real models and just clean them up a little and throw them in a 3d engine. Since D2 is 90% pre-rendered 3D assets that they can render real-time nowadays.

47. F Blizzard at this point. Well F the greedy corporates that bought Blizzard. Even if it's good I've got newer better games and better developers to support.
