The End of Days has begun: http://diablo3.com/ReaperOfSouls

Malthael, the fallen Archangel of Wisdom, returns as the Angel of Death in Diablo III’s first expansion set: Reaper of Souls. Having seized the Black Soulstone and slain most of the guards protecting it, it now falls to players to track down Malthael and stop him before he unleashes irreversible havoc on the world. Fortunately, a new hero is ready to join the cause and bring Malthael to justice—the Crusader, a fierce melee warrior whose command of the battlefield is matched only by his unwavering conviction and uncompromising dedication to the Light.

This is the first official gameplay teaser for Diablo III’s first expansion set, Reaper of Souls, originally debuted at gamescom 2013 on August 21 in Cologne, Germany. 1. I just started replaying a few days ago, gotta say it's kind of fun now, I don't know why tho.

  2. Well I guess I'm the only one here looking forward to playing this on PS4, at least what I heard is they're gonna release it on console later this year. Hopefully it's a good enough improvement to spend $60 on though.

  3. I got D3 when it was originally released, and played through a few of the difficulty levels on hardcore.  I had a good time … BUT …
… the game is definitely not a 10/10 title, it's good but not fantastic.

If you're after a fantastic ARPG, I'd urge you to look at 'Path of Exile', developed in New Zealand and free2play.  I have no affiliation with the game or developers, I just play it and think that it surpasses D3 in every way.  The skill tree is more of a forest, the options you have to design your own character builds are astonishing.

And unlike our good mates at Blizzard, it's a completely ethically delivered game — free, not pay2win, it has some micro-transactions but they're just cosmetic stuff (I randomly bought some things purely because I felt guilty having so much fun for free).

Anyway if you're curious, check it out, it really is a great game, and although every game in the genre arguably owes it's roots to Diablo 1, I sincerely thing Path of Exile sets a completely new standard.

  4. So they finally "realised" that AH was bullshit and that they needed this "adventure mode" since that other shit was way to linear, only took them roughly a year to "figure" that out after they made millions on RM AH which destroyed the game, people spent more time on AH than ingame, and the game joining system is still fucked up, if they couldnt come up with anything better then what they had in D2 ( which i think was absolutely fine for that kind of game) why not just implemented it in D3 aswell?, its just really sad and a set back imo.

and now i have to pay for this expantion, where they are trying to patch it back together, so im able to play the game as it should have been from the begining, hopefully, unless its still only then a half decent game compared to its prequel.

  5. Well that preview was intensely disappointing. I loved D1 and D2, and I enjoyed D3 (won it on all difficulties before the auction house was closed and haven't played since). I liked it while I played it but HATED the auction house. SO

Can someone tell me why that newest patch makes it better?

And is nobody else supremely disappointed that there's only ONE new character and it's NOT the necromancer??? I'm not sure I can get over that. I wanted the Necro so badly…

  6. Well if you guys think about it the witch doctor is a sortof version of the necro. However. We have a barb. Wtf do we need a crusader with pretty much the same concept for? I say bring the druid back. Or make up somethin brand new. Somethin nobody has ever thought of with some bad ass attacks that be awesome

  7. question.. i never played diablo… and i'm wondering if i buy the physical copy from gamestop of reaper of souls.. do i have to buy diablo 3 disc too? so i have to buy 2 discs??

  8. if new are new to D3, do you have to buy D3 and reaper of souls (like RoS is a DLC), or just reaper of souls?

  9. The flashy combat is not enough to compensate for the monotonous grind-fest. I'm sick of playing action rpgs. What I really want to play is an adventure mmo-rpg that combines a good combat system with exploration, crafting, trade, and faction warfare. No character levels, just skill levels. And no scripted quests, just player-to-player contracts.

  10. People are probably gonna rag on me for saying this, but I have always found Blizzard games to be way too difficult. I refuse to spend money on a game that is more frustrating than fun.

  11. Honestly whoever thinks this crap is worth 40$ is a moron. Back in my day Blizzard werent money hungry jews and actually produced quality games….oh well. times change.

  12. I see no difference with the latest environment and I think that's just the same graphical effects with the original Diablo III. My question is where is the real improvement in here cause I can't see any.

  13. Oh.. My GOOOSH! August, come come come come come come NOW! Just NOW!
I can't wait this comes to PS!!!!! OMG OMG OMG! #hyped

  14. I am buying the ultimate evil edition for Xbox 360 new copy and wondering a few things. Can I still get the special armor cosmetic feature like the pre ordered ppl? And since I don't own a diablo 3 disk anymore can I still play this one? I hope so because I don't have enough money for another copy just to access this game.

  15. "Who will stand against the darkness ?" a blinding light falls from the sky and tramples both the burning hell and Heavenly host alike, The Crusade Marches on, even against death itself.

  16. Crusader, my favorite class before the Necro arrived, RoS soundtrack is awesome also, goosebumps every time Chains Of Fate comes up.
