  2. Just decided to install this game, and 5 seconds on the autorun program i'm hooked.. by the music, the theme, the font. And later by the gameplay, i felt nostalgia for something i've never experienced!

  3. I hear the soundtrack for Tristram and I hear potions dropping into my inventory and the sounds of coins clinking.

  6. Nostalgia apart, I could not find much replay value after playing this game a few times with all 3 characters. That is until i stumbled upon a mod called Belzebub. Now I am playing again!

    I remember back in the 90s my best friend and me sitting in front of a computer, playing the demoversion od Diablo to death! 😀

  9. I remember playing the game way back when I was 8, scared the shit out of me and never got past lvl 3, played it again just a year ago and i conquered my fears and made it to the last lvl, i felt amazing and great!

  10. Still the best story and ambience in the series. I'll give D2 the gameplay award. What the series devolved into from there makes me sad.

  18. Wish they could make a diablo like this again. Still full of secrets and humans sacrificing their souls in return for madness of power. With characters not knowing what they are getting into, instead of the overpowered nephalem running around with angels and demons at every corner of the story.

  20. I made such a sweet warrior, he was so strong, but then I came to the part where those dudes teleport away from you and was stuck. Came back and played D2 with a rogue.

I think that this game was great because it was dark and also because it appears to be simple : but the more you explore the game the more you realize how complicated and deep the story really is. The game has like a magic wall : the first surface of the wall is the simple aspect of the game, but then, for players who really wants to go all the way beyond, you will get beyond the wall and see the real potential of the game. DIABLO 1 is a great game, and so is Bladur's gate 1 too. Do you remember in Baldur's gate 1 : the ruins of Ulcaster ? This place was great : a simple ruins but, the more you get into it the more you realize how deep the story of Ulcaster is. The ghost of Ulcaster was also very mysterious : the ghost is very very strange. To all of you who love Diablo 1, please take a look to Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 : they are very very very good game too, you will love them.

  34. I played with my cousin all day when i get this game in 96 and on next day graphic card or something was dead.

  38. definitely one of the best soundtrack ever made. I`m not so into Diablo 1 atmosphere but in comparision with other great ost, which I like is absolutely legit.
