Shortly after Diablo’s release, a rumor was started about a Secret Cow Level within the game. Someone even uploaded a fake image to support this rumor, even though Blizzard Entertainment refuted this claim time and time again. This video shows the only «Cow Level» I’ve ever been aware of in the original Diablo game.

so is the starcraft's cheat for winning the given level
In the original Diablo, there was no Cow Level (the point of this video).
In Diablo II, there was a Cow Level.
In Diablo III, you fight Chubby Purple Unicorns, Flowers and teddy Bears, but it's not called the Cow Level.

Well… They did that because of people complaining on the screenshots of the game before it was released that it seemed to cheerful and less gothic, Whimsyshire was their response to that.

You are correct. I did a video on Development Hell too. 😉 (I killed all the Blizzard staff and Jay Wilson). 😀
In fact, there's a lot of secrets in D3. Many of them are "Events" and give you "Achievements", which unlock Banner options.

Somebody should make a mod for a secret cow level in the original Diablo 😛
After all these years, I would think that someone had. But, of all the mods out there, I haven't seen one that does. (Personally, I don't use mods. I did get Hellfire, but I only played it a few times. Even though it added new content, I didn't feel like it added to the Diablo lore. And I thought much of it was comical, which, for me, took away some of the darkness of the Diablo atmosphere. But, that's just my opinion).

Yep, sure, there is a Cow Level in Hellfire (Sierra). I remember one of these cows turning mad, it was funny. I also remember a shabby cow picture and unique object called The Bovine Plate, powerful and ugly at the same time. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that patching some files of the game for this is needed.

People should know by now that D1 never had a cow level.
There is actually a cow quest in hellfire which you can unlock,with text file modification.Did it once,u get a nice armour,useful for warrior.

Why are people disliking this video? This is how it was. I remember the screenshot he posted from back in the day, that's all we had to go on and this is where the rumors came from of a 'Cow Level'. I remember a rumor that if you click on the cows enough times the level will open up
I like that Blizzard added there is no cow level as a cheat command for … Starcraft?
