  1. Thanks for your super professional patch commentary Regis. My number 1 source for Hearthstone news.

  2. Maiev has Yogg vibes to me. It gives you a very strong buy turn on 2, where you can hero power a second minion, then you can tavern up + hero power again next turn into a roll to potentially get some good 2s to freeze for your 6 gold turn. This just seems like a great opener to have, and it'd make this one of those heroes that doesn't rely on a token in the early game to have a decent start.

  3. It is true that you get Maiev's minion only in two turns, but depending how often you use the hero power, next turn you get the minion you have just previously imprisoned. Depending how often you can squeeze in the hero power, it is bassicly rafaam with the only the first being delayed, but more importantly you have more control over the minion you get. The +1/+1 is just a nice addition in case none of the picks in the tavern are very impactful.

    It is mostly a matter of how the imprisoned minion interacts with the slots in the tavern to see how good she will be.

  4. Vashj sounds pretty bad its basically a free refresh that only happens potentially 5 times in a single game. Plus its not really a refresh because its going to upgrade the minions that are currently there… so if you are upgrading when there's nothing but garbage on the board or you've already bought a minion you needed first you're likely getting LESS value than simply refreshing the room.

    Early game? Sure, your first upgrade instantly refreshes the board with Tier 2 minions, that can be nice. Late game? Lets say you want to upgrade but it'll cost all or most of your coins, and bob rolled a bunch of Tier 1/2 minions and you're at tier 4/5. So you upgrade to tier 5/6 and you refreshed into tier 2/3 minions. Thats shit. Its shit.

    Play Nozdormu. You can refresh for free once every turn without any conditions.

  5. I don´t get the point of battlegrounds. What is the point of the ranking unless for matching players. If it had some kind of small rewards then I can understand. But for now I only play for fun, so what I can only chosse 2 heroes insted of 4, dose´t change a thing really. When is the Illidan Adventure gonna open up?

  6. Maeiv seems only good for banking triples. Like you're playing Murlocs, and need that T6 pull, can bank a triple and level to 5 over the next turn or two.

    The buff is almost completely useless.

  7. Vashj is gonna high roll sometimes and convince some people she's good, but realistically she's going to be lower mid tier at best since it's largely just "get a free roll when you rank up" which is worse than Nozdormu's power.
    Maiev is gonna be trash tier. 2 turns later is way too late to get something you want. If you want it, you want it now not 2 turns from now. Just freeze for it and wait 1 turn if you have only 1 gold left and by the time you could wait 2 turns without losing, you're either already winning or the +1/+1 just isn't gonna matter at all.
    I think Kael'Thas is gonna end up in the upper middle tier just because there's no drawback to his power at all, it's just getting some +2/+2 on minions early and then you can try to line it up on things you really want to stay alive later, but it's also not a particularly powerful ability honestly.

  8. Maiev doesn’t sound like a great hero. Feels too slow. The hero power only sounds good when you have a gold left and you flipped to a tavern with good minions you can freeze to grab next turn.

  9. The lisk being a 4/2 or 5/3 in turns 3-5 is the most important part of it imo.

  10. Maiev could be interesting for late game minion denial. Locking up some of the tier 5/6 powerhouse cards that you don't need, but your opponents do could be an interesting strategy. Unfortunately games just don't last long enough that I think it would be all the useful. This power would be much more useful if it would add the card to your hand in a dormant state so at least it didn't mess with board space.

  11. Technically Teron Gorfiends text was correct because the battle cry activates first, then the minion is played.

  12. Vashj seems pretty bad. To really benefit you'd need several minions that are near your highest tier AND be ready to upgrade that turn. And preferably also have gold to buy one that turn.
    Maiev might be the gimpiest hero. Who waits 2 turns for a minion? How often will that be useful? Maybe 1 in 10 games it's good value? 0/10

  13. had a cool game with the sauralisks today playing as rafam. picked the lizard up turn 1. turn 2 picked up a second and HP. turn 3 sell the minion i got (sadly no deathrattle) and bought 2 of the attack buffing demon. turn 3 having 11 power. got snowbally fast. making fast transition into full menagarie with 2 lightfangs

  14. feel like everyone is underestimating the new card. tier 1 so it's easy to golden, and its then +2/2 for every deathrattle card. Even going mech and picking up boom bots and the 2/3 mech deathrattle makes this tier 1 minion into a 20/20 before you can blink
