  1. There should be preferential card discarding for warlock. Cards like "discard the left/right most card or highest cost card" should be introduced.

  2. I feel like the discard mechanic is a big high risk high reward because each card that discards other cards are usually more powerful than normal, so discarding is kind of the cost you gotta pay to play stronger cards, being able to choose what you discard reduces the risk of having to think the process through and makes discard too powerful.

  3. A few cards allow you to do that with "lowest" and "highest" and honestly… being myself having invested into a Jeklik deck… I seriously think that having the freedom of choosing the discarded card would be ridiculous.
Imo, we need more specific discard conditions so that there's more planning involved, it would really feel rewarding.

  4. Honestly choosing which card to discard wouldn’t be that overpowered. With all the power creep in Hearthstone I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘choose which card to discard’ mechanic was included in a legendary or quest-style card in an upcoming expansion.

  5. Love when Highlander priest players get fucked in the ass. Nobody with any dignity left plays this deck.

  6. 4:54 for anyone that wants to know, it was only 207 fatigue damage. He was so close to being able to live!

  7. I don't think letting Warlocks discard what they want directly would keep the older discard cards balanced.
I'd be favorable to a Warlock minion that did that though, so you'd have to pay for it and/or find a way to keep it on the board for it to work.
It'd be a neat mechanic if introduced that way.

  8. Considering that I have every Discard warlock card in golden I would highly prefer if I could choose what to discard. Btw golden Lakkari Sacrifice looks sick!

  9. We already have 3 cards that have a "targeted" discard, two that discard the cheapest card in hand and one that discards the most expensive. More cards with similar kinds of selective discard could be nice, but this has already resulted in a Wild deck called Dinomancer Warlock, a deck which summons a Dinomancer whose Deathrattle always summons the Dinomancer you discarded earlier and then uses Spiritslinger Umbra to make more of it, so there does need to be at least some caution about targeted discards.

    The best deck in hartstone

  11. Yo guys I've just started streaming hearthstone if anyone could come join me that would be great. Psych_zero on twitch

  12. Warlocks should have a 50 percent chance if not throwing out a card if choice but otherwise choosing is soooooo OP.

  13. I think it's time to write a new rule for Hearthstone: Never play Leeroy when your enemy has a Knife Juggler.

  14. I think getting to choose all your discards would be too strong, but having a couple cards which discard specific things like the one we have that always discards your lowest cost card, would be ok

  15. We already have a card where you can choose what's discarded. It's called soulfire, and people always choose to discard the other one

  16. Okay. Nozdormu needs to be fixed, or removed. It is ridiculous, how it screws up someones turn, when it is summoned from deck. 3:56 This is just insane…

  17. CQotD: Yes, except for Soulfire: it must always discard another Soulfire. If there are no Soulfires on hand, then whatever.

  18. Hello subscribe to my channel if it is not bother, i will give you a like and click subscribe button (thank you for your time and reading)

  19. Discard is not meant to be a proper keyword, it's more like a pay off for strong cards. This is why its random. Some cards try to get befefit from it, but since the discard was originally a way to "balance" other stronger cards, you would change a weakeness into a strength.
That's not the case in Legends of Runeterra, for example. There, the discard is not a downgrade for strong cards, is just another way to make plays.
So this is why discard, probably, will never be "targetable" in HS

  20. Well…regarding the question it's an yes and no answer
Sometimes yeah, you should be able to choose what you discard
But with cards like the golem, and lifesteal taunt and the card that gets +2/2 everytime it's discarded…yeah, not a good idea

  21. The discard mechanic doesnt really seem to fit into the Hearthstone game. One of the main reasons i think is that there no ¨graveyard¨ players can interact with outside of Rez priest

  22. YES!! I love High Priestess Jeklik, and I want to be able use her in a viable deck before she goes out of rotation! Discard warlock was so fun in the short time in which it was viable!

  23. Perhaps rather than choose, the card has a condition for which card will be discarded, like the left most card or lowest cost, so while it’s not random it isn’t completely controlled and so not too broken

  24. Yes, warlock should be able to choose cards to discard. The fundamental flaw of discard was that it might get rid of valuable resources and you have no control over that. However, being able to choose the card to discard could cause problems with cards like Zavas and Jeklik as they were balanced for the inconsistency of discard. But I think it should be a thing in future sets for sure.
