Diablo - Zhar the Mad (Diablo 1)

This is the quest for «Zhar the Mad», a quest that no villagers comment on. I plan to do this for all of the Diablo and Diablo 2 quest.

  1. I don't care for the Warrior or Sorcerer and I'm glad they have 3 different classes. I love the Rogue… my favorite. 🙂

  2. these videos are all well and good but why does no one ever say who their character is adn what level the quest is on??

  3. Instead of slashing him more than once, hit him once then wait for him to re-appear.
He leaves a streak of light when teleporting which makes him easy to follow.

  4. Man, I've been mercilessly beating on him and evading his shots for I don't know how long. Already made one trip to the surface to re-stock on health potions and am running out of those as well. I do 17-25 damage apparently, which might not be much for a level 16 warrior, dno. Am I doing something wrong or do I just need to beat on him some more?

  5. @Fidget1994 the quest appears randomly on level 8 of the catacombs, i want to say somewhere around 33% of playthroughs.

  6. @DisembowelMe LCS (Lying Character Screen) might be a factor. In D1 and D2, stats and values that UI provided weren´t always accurate.

  7. Lol good fight… He almost ownd you lol. That was one of my all time fav quests in D1 just because of the awesome and chilling sound of his voice… I remember being scared to death when He suddenly proclaimed "Your curiosity will be the death of you"

    I was like "o shit"

  8. Have you ever played Hell difficulty ? It has rooms full Fire,Lightning,Magic Immunes out there.

  9. Rogue gives quite a bit of challange as well 😀 and she is quite a lot of fun to play!

  10. All you have to do on this fight is get him cornered and he can't even teleport away from you if you stay in front of him.
Damn, you really gotta love that dialogue though. You can easily see the step down in quality from hearing Lloigor the Crazed's shitty dialogue and acting from D3.

  11. It's sad that this fight looks more epic/challenging than all the Boss fights in Diablo 3 put together.

  12. Basically the acting and the "feel" of gameplay in D3 I have experienced within the first hour of playing was the reason why I needed 5 months to regain mental strength in order to pick D3 up again — and to sit through it. I can feel the disappointment in us all.

  13. I would always play as the warrior when I was a kid, so it's the total opposite for me. I find using the mage a lot more difficult (yet more fun) and overall more challenging, especially when dealing with resistances in the caves and hell.

  14. My dad was mad when in D&D he had this evil wizard guy fight us.  He had it all thought out and thought it was going to wreck us.  But when I hit him in combat my dad didn't know about interrupting spells.  So we looked up the concentration rolls, and I was right.

Proceeded to wreck the wizard's shit because I kept interrupting him.  I sent him this video after.

  15. Thank You for video story…….i really love it just a wonderful memory when i was at college

  16. I'M SORRY, DIDI I BREAK YOUR CONCENTRATION, YOU NERD?!?!? DUUUUUUUUUUUUUH
.. by the way, still playing DIablo 😀
