  1. This build is actually pretty tricky, cause ideally you don't want any deathrattles other than those of Goldrinn/Spawn so you can trigger them consistently. Issue is, a lot of beasts have deathrattles of their own that won't do anything on a full board, which is when the Macaw is usually attacking. I think the best choice would have been to drop the Highmane and buy up those other Macaws to isolate the Goldrinn. Ghastcoiler could still screw things up but he's just too hard to replace once Rivendare is involved.

  2. When your going beast build with macaw, you need to try to isolate the goldrinn as your only deathrattle to guarantee the giant beast buffs. Its super fun to play reno and triple the goldrinn and have the macaw trigger the goldrinn

  3. Brian first game after patch: get funny and entertaining combo with interesting mechanics, ended up top 3
Me after first 5 games this patch: do 1-7 places exist or 8 is only possible option?

  4. A see a few comments about putting Goldrinn in front of the Bird, but so far no comments about putting the taunt Goldrinn in front of the others. At the very least it should have been Bird, Goldrinn, Taunt Goldrinn, Spawn. That gives you enough protection against cleave. And even if the opponent does manage to cleave first and kill off all 3 before the bird even attacks, that means bird is likely to survive and gives 4 random deathrattle minions, which is probably what you need since much of the board just died.

  5. Seems fun, but too much deathrattle bloating. Still, I don't think there were many other beast alternatives, though I do think you should've picked up a second macaw.

  6. An Illidan I faced yesterday seemed to have figured out the Macaw thing. Macaw (triggering off his hero power), 2 Goldrinn, Golden Rivendare, and 2 Cave Hydras. He took first with 36 HP. Shredded.

  7. I stopped liking regular hearthstone, and almost unsubscribed, but would enjoy more content like this in the future

  8. @bmkibler: you were actually wrong… a pirates favourite letter isn't the R, it's the C… 😉

  9. I was about to yell at the amount of misplays but then I realized this was your first game so you did like 100 times better than me lol

  10. Macaw Beast is a little tricky. You don't want Beasts with Deathrattle — Ideally, you want Goldrinns, Barons, Macaws, and a mixture of Beasts which don't have Deathrattles (best choices are Hydra, Maexxna, and Direhorn in that order). Do not taunt Goldrinn because you want him to live to get his Deathrattle off multiple times. At all times, make sure the only Deathrattle you have is Goldrinn (or failing that, Spawn) to ensure you hit him (Ghastcoiler and all other Deathrattles are bait).

Under ideal cistumstances, you can activate a Golden Goldrinn's Deathrattle a lot of times. Per Golden Macaw, you can get +48/+48 to all your Beasts (though keep in mind, this is with Golden everything).

  11. You might think their favourite letter is R but their true love be the C 🙂
