2. Imagine dark souls in the diablo world with diablo lore, we almost had it and I think it would have been awesome,
   But that said, I loved diablo2 and I'm glad they decided to go for that same asthetic in 4, even tho it did get a little boring with the point and click but I still loved it

4. So many memories, remember when i started online and damn got so addicted. Played for around 9 years, lvling 3 chars to 99 manually my Amazon RobinWind, another Amazon TwistOfFate and my necro TwistedMind. D3 came and most of my friends moved on.. it was sad to see my friend list all offline. Moved to d3 and only took me around a month to get bored and quit. Ever since been playing Grim Dawn.

8. Great game yes. One of the best games ever? I'd say no. I replay a lot of old games and I can't for the life of me get into D2 anymore. The solo player grind real.

11. Diablo 2 is the first dark themed ARPG I have played and it is unmistakably the best ARPG of all time. Grim dawn went close in adopting a dark theme yet d2 is still unbeatable. Though it didn't age well and GD is fairly new compared to D2, D2 still has thousands of players(If you consider the bots) and the servers still run even after 2 decades so it still stands in the competition. Fans of D2 can still try GD and have a similar experience in certain aspects.

13. For the people still playing this… Do yourself a favour and try path of exile. Its amazing, takes the best elements of d2 and makes it soooo much more elaborate.

14. I like D3, but didnt like the random world bosses format. I miss going on magic f8nd Mephisto, Diablo, Baal runs over and over again. D3, didn't want to play once I had the chatacters at a decent level

16. Diablo II, Ark survival evolved. Those are basically the only 2 games that I've ever called "best game ever".

17. 20 years and counting! Except for occasional moments of Age of Empires (and its Linux equivalent 0 A.D.) it's the ONLY game I play. As a D1 fan, I followed the forums for 6 months before it was released. I bought it the day after its initial release. (I hate standing in lines). I only play single player, pure/modless (except for Plugy) Diablo 2.

22. For me it was in 2000-2002, Diablo II/Lord of Destruction in Seoul, Korea PC Bongs (Bong means room). Which was interesting because PC bongs are like Computer catacombs. I ended up getting my Paladin account hacked because I wanted more coins, and they tricked me into thinking I could type a code to make that happen, basically got me to show him my account info via private direct message. Sad day and taught me to trust no one. Game is still awesome.

24. My friend introduced me to this game and laughed at me as I played it because I was new and sucked. The laughter stopped when a fallen dropped a biggen's bonnet in blood moor because he himself at that point never found a unique yet(Note this item is a set item now I think).

28. Path of Exile is the best. diablo is boring. and the best part Path of exile is for free and also POE 2 is coming soon. don't waste your time and money on Diablo, especially after D3.

    I must admit, I tried to go on Diablo3, then POE, that last was something amazing concerning the crafing of items but also monsters. But no PvP and also tje PvE content was great but something was missing. I stii haven't test a game which gave me so much the chill when I was alone and within a dark room, discovering for the fisrt time the Butcher on D1, I jumped from my chair, that ambiance was so well built around the fright. Then goes d2 and my first Andariel encounter, my athlomXp2k froze and I was scared my something that appeared and had a strange shape, but I could not see what it was, it took me some days for fix the issue and slowly ride toward the act 2. There another big freeze and fright, Duriel was so fast at charging me that my comp simply crashed and was out of order for tue next six months. I like these memories. Then, slowly the computer was functioning, and I started using the modem 56k with that wonderful tone which would scare any ghosts around included me haha. I played months discovering the othe dimension within the Arcane sanctuary, staring at these infinite sytem of stars. I still like that and it slows me sometime when I rush a character. Then I played the act 4 forany months using my first tal rasha helmet and one lightsaber combined with doom sword whirlwinding acrosse the plains of despair and the river of flame with an act 3 mercenary with cold dmg. This was online, aftrr tried the "online" mode with the multiplayer system. I stayed there for around 13 years lol. The PvM is always fun even when it starts to be boring, I made many type of characters with different setup for increasing the interest of these runs. I find very unteresting for suddenly find aomething great in an unexpected way and also the other side where you are expecting THE LOOT for complete a neverending gear's contest on your character. The ethereal items are a great challenge for a digger like me or old mfer.
    PvM eas fun, but slowly I discovered the PvP, it was hard when I met the PKs (player killer) for the first time, I liked BVB a lot and still do it.

WHAT, not even close, one of the main aspect of this game are the items, tons of different items which you want to keep for certain situations and/or to transmute, for which you get the tiniest of personal inventory and not a much bigger one in town. Would be fine if the #%^*#%* game would not make your items on the ground $&*#$% disappear all the #*#%& time. Shitty game it is. Just played it a bit and remembered why i never finished and stopped playing that F#%^# game some 15 years ago. Diablo 2 = one of the worst game ever, for me anyway.

33. I was one of the hackers lol but the funny thing is I remember only open b net had a big hacking issue closed had a botting issue

37. No. Diablo 2 isnt the best game ever. The best thing Diablo 2 do is setting the athmosphere. The reason why Diablo 3 sucks is that it dont set the athmosphere as good as D2. Don't get me wrong I played D2 in it released year. This is the only game that Made me play 18 hour stright by the time I played it at the first time. I just want to clear it up, cause sometimes nostalgia is bad.

39. Im 14 and i've never heard of this game until recently. My favorite YouTuber mentioned it and then everyone else started talking about it so i searched and thanx for the overview.

40. I still load this game up once a year or so and roll some new characters. I usually get sucked in for a good couple weeks too. The game is that good, it's not just nostalgia.
